Executive Board Elections: April 15, 2009

Organ donor day: April 16, 2009
Organ Donor Day is April 16 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the Student Center Patio. Join us for food, music,fun and games while you learn why it is important to be an organ donor.

2nd annual Rowan Donor Dash 5K Walk/Run : April 17th, 2009
The Rec Center and PRSSA are co-sponsering the Rowan University Donor Dash. The Donor Dash is a 5K is a 3.1 mile race/walk, with the run entirely on the Rowan Campus. Rowan students, faculty/staff, and Rec Center members are eligible to participate. In the event that you would like to donate but cannot participate, donations will be taken at the race check-in table or at the Rec Center Front Desk.
Each participant in the Race will recieve a Donor Day t-shirt, and all procedes will be donated to The Donald J. Farrell III Memorial Scholarship - Boonton Township, Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Local 392.

24 Hours 4 Donnie: April 25-26, 2009
Registration Begins: 1pm Saturday
Faceoff: 2 p.m. Saturday
Game Ends: 2 p.m. Sunday
Location: Rowan University, Varsity Soccer Field
Motivation: Over a year ago, a student of Rowan University was murdered in a tragic incident which shocked the university community. Donnie Farrell was a member of the Rowan Men’s Club Lacrosse team and a great friend to many. The Rowan Men’s Club Lacrosse team would like to honor their departed friend and raise awareness about his murder, for which no suspects have been arrested.
Event Description: 24 Hours 4 Donnie is a charity lacrosse game in which lacrosse players from all over the region will play a 24 hour long game. Players will pre-register or register on the day of the event. The cost is $20 and each player will receive a reversible jersey to play in. Only players registered prior to April 17th will be guaranteed a jersey. There will be a 24 hour running clock. The game will follow the basic men’s lacrosse rules as defined by the NCLL.
